For Parents Who Refuse To Settle & Know Their Child Is Capable of More

You already made one uncommon decision.

You stepped away from the default path.

The crowded hallways.  The watered-down standards.

The system built for average.

You chose home school because you saw something early.

Potential. Curiosity. Drive.

A child who doesn’t fit neatly into boxes. But here is the truth most people avoid. Freedom without structure eventually becomes limitation. Talent without standards eventually stalls.

And even the most committed parents cannot be everything. At some point, exceptional kids need exceptional environments.

This is Not A Team.  And It Is Not a Practice.

Westlake Performance is a daytime athletic development program for homeschool baseball and softball players ages 12-18 who want to train at a higher level while the rest of the world is sitting in classrooms.

Not skill drills disguised as practice.  Not chaos.  Not babysitting.

This is a professional development environment led directly by me.

Small group.  High standards.  Intentional work.  Clear expectations.

Your child still plays on their teams. They still compete.

They still do games and lessons if they choose.

This is what happens outside of that.

This is where real growth is built.

Who I Am And Why This Program Exists

My name is Jason Alamo.

After coaching at six different collegiate baseball programs, I created a training program specifically for middle school and high school players to create true growth and transformation.  My high performance training programs have helped over 1,800 players and I currently work with players from 47 different high schools in the Austin and Texas region.

We have helped players increase velocity, improve confidence, and earn opportunities to play college baseball and softball at multiple levels.

Most of those athletes were not highly recruited when they started.

Most were overlooked.

Most lacked structure.

Most had talent but no clear path.

What separated the ones who made it was never just mechanics or strength.

It was habits. It was mindset. It was learning how to train with intention.

Westlake Performance exists because I saw a gap.

Homeschool families who value excellence rarely have access to true development environments during the day, led by someone who understands both long-term athletic growth and the realities of college recruitment.

So I built one.

Why This Is Different

I do not run practices. I develop players.

That means:

• Customized development based on age, body, and maturity.

• Strength training that translates directly to the baseball and softball field and games.

•Teaching players the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ behind their custom training plan so they can one day become their own best coach.

• High level mechanics that emphasis using the legs and the core to throw and hit.

This is the same development philosophy I have used with athletes who went on to play at the college level.  In fact, in the last 36 months alone I have helped my players commit to play baseball at over 53 different colleges and universities across the United States!

A Complete Development System, Not Random Training

This is not one-off lessons or sporadic instruction.

It is a complete hybrid development system built intentionally over more than a decade.

Players train midday in-person once a week in Westlake (Austin) in a focused, high-standard environment.

They are supported by weekly live virtual mindset coaching that builds discipline, confidence, and daily structure.

At home, they follow a clear, customized training plan that connects mechanics, strength, and flexibility into a step-by-step process.

Every piece works together.  Nothing is random.  Nothing is disconnected.

This is how real development happens

when physical training, mindset, and accountability are aligned into one system instead of scattered sessions hoping something sticks.

This Is Not For Everyone.

This program is intentionally small.

It is built for families who value structure, standards, and long-term development not shortcuts or constant entertainment.

If you believe your child would thrive in an environment like this, the next step is a simple application.

The application helps determine:

  • Whether this environment is the right fit for your child.
  • Whether your child is ready for the standards expected here.
  • Whether we can genuinely help them progress at this stage.
